For one night only, Tim Winton (fourtime Miles Franklin Award winner), Bernard Fanning (Powderfinger), Katie Noonan (four-time ARIA winner), Jessica Watson (around-the-world solo sailor), Professor Iain McCalman (The Reef – A Passionate History), didjeridu virtuoso William Barton, Ample Projects and many others came together to thrill, entertain and enlighten Brisbane with their hopes and fears for our oceans and reefs – and the extraordinary creatures that inhabit them.
Ample Projects and Willoughby City Council donated The Nautilus and The Sea – presented as a poem exploring humanity’s impact on the oceans of our world, as well as Ample’s spectacular Jellyfish Chandeliers, donated as part of the theatrical centrepiece for the show in the QPAC Concert Hall. Ample Projects produced most of the AV presentation for the night, including edits of David Hannan’s extraordinary marine cinematography to accompany the performances, and titles design and animation.
